4 Port USB 2.0 Powered Hub w/ Port Status LEDs & Screw Locking Ports

Unfortunately This Does Not Charge Devices if Not Connected to a Computer This is a nice hub. I specifically bought it because of the metal ears on it that allow mounting it with screws. I actually wanted to charge some USB devices with this and I figured since it had it’s own power source that I could do that without plugging it into the USB port of a computer. Unfortunately though if the USB is not plugged into a PC then it will not charge your devices even if the hub itself is plugged into AC power. Once you plug the USB into a PC however then charging will occur. So if you just want to utilize this as a charging station PC free then don’t get this one, instead look for their other device model CG-UC4AQC3.When used for it’s actual intention, as a USB hub, it works great. It’s a solid metal case and the mounting ears are great. It was just my mistake assuming I could power devices without a PC.
