Description The 992.2 Carrera GTS leads the pack in boost response with Porsche’s innovate T-Hybrid / eTurbo system. The electric motor drastically shortens the time required for the turbo to spool up, meaning that the full boost pressure is consistently available within a very short time. Traditional aftermarket blow off valves are not an option on this platform due to the design and integrated electronic systems in the factory components. The SOUL charge pipe design relocates the factory valves off of the intake tube (using the included caps) and onto an aluminum charge pipe in a vent to atmosphere configuration for several benefits: • An enjoyable “whoosh” blow off valve sound on throttle lift off for a more visceral connection between driver and machine. • Quicker boost response through a rapid release of pressured charge – beneficial with the GTS’s hyper-responsive turbo operation. • Traditionally, VTA designs benefit the turbocharger by maintaining compressor shaft speed on throttle lift off. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS Mass airflow sensor based systems have issues with vent to atmosphere desgins due to a loss of calculated air. The GTS measures volumetric efficiency using a speed density system which does not necessitate recirculating the charged air.
