Description M-Engineering has been at the forefront of Porsche ECU tuning, and has spent countless hours of research and development to provide reliable performance improvements. With the M-Engineering ECU flash for the Porsche 992 GT3 and GT3 Touring, adjustments are made to improve the throttle response, remove top speed limiters, adjust air/fuel ratios, and modify ignition timing and much more to improve the overall driving performance of the 4.0L flat-six engine. M-Engineering still utilizes all OEM ECU engine safety strategies. Live Map Switching On-The-Fly Live Map Switching comes standard on all calibrations (Stage 1 and Stage 2). The purpose of this feature is to quickly change between different power levels relating to the octane you are filling up with. This is all controlled via the cruise control stalk. Information on how to use Live Map Switching can be found here. Slot 1 – ACN91 (Arizona, California, Nevada 91) Slot 2 – 91 Octane or 95RON Slot 3 – 93 Octane or 98RON Slot 4 – 100 Octane or 103RON Engine Safety Map Slot (Slot 5) M-Engineering has written custom code for additional engine safeties beyond what is provided from the factory. Our engine tuning strategy has always been for engine safety first, and power second. This has allowed us to maintain vehicle reliability and have the most powerful calibrations on the market proven time and time again in competitive racing series, at the drag strip, and setting world records at Pikes Peak. M-Engineering uses custom code to implement what is called “Detonation Defense” – an engine safety that detects excessive knock events. When knock events beyond a set threshold are met, within 20 milliseconds, the car will automatically be put into map slot 5 for a brief period of 10 seconds. In map slot 5, the car will have reduced power and engine load to prevent damage. This proactive approach protects your engine and allows power to return once conditions are again safe. SEE ALL MAP NOTES HERE HOW DOES IT WORK?: You are responsible for shipping the ECU to M-Engineering to be flashed. When you calculate shipping at checkout, this is for return shipping costs to you. Due to the complexity of the newer “locked” H80 MG1 ECU’s there is a longer workflow to unlock and flash. Turnaround time is roughly 2 weeks for 992.2 ECU’s. If I add an exhaust or intake, do I need to reflash my car? No. Each individual table is tuned. Unlike others that do a global change to files, M-Engineering enables the ECU to adapt to basic bolt-on modifications like exhaust, intake, headers, etc. The only time you need to re-reflash your vehicle is when you change fuel components, turbo sizes, or engine internals, etc. Pro-Tunes are available for your heavily modified vehicle.
